Care For Your Jewellery

Avoid Water & Moisture

Remove Before: Showering, bathing, swimming, washing dishes, or any activity where your jewelry might get wet.

Humidity: High humidity can cause wood to swell or crack over time. Store your jewelry in a relatively dry environment.

Cleaning: Never soak wooden jewelry in water. If it needs cleaning, gently wipe it with a slightly damp cloth (see cleaning section below).

Cleaning Your Wooden Jewelry:

Light Dusting: For general cleaning, simply wipe your jewelry with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.

Gentle Wipe: If needed, dampen a soft cloth very slightly with plain water and gently wipe the surface. Immediately dry with another soft, dry cloth.

Handle with Care:

Wood, especially delicate carvings, can be fragile. Avoid dropping your jewelry or subjecting it to strong impacts.

Re-oiling

Some wooden jewelry, especially pieces with a natural oil finish or those that feel dry over time, can benefit from occasional re-oiling.

Recommended Oils: Use a small amount of natural, food-grade oil like mineral oil, jojoba oil, or tung oil.

Application: Apply a tiny drop to a soft cloth and gently rub it into the wood. Allow it to soak in for 15-30 minutes, then wipe off any excess thoroughly with a clean, dry cloth to prevent stickiness. Do this sparingly, perhaps every few months or when the wood looks dull.
